How to adjust your resolution:       close

(for Windows users only)

Step 1: Use the "restore down" button in the upper right hand corner of your internet browser (such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) to resize your browser so some of your desktop is showing.  The "restore down" button is the button just to the left of the "close" button (the red X).

Step 2: Use your mouse to right click somewhere on your "desktop" where there are no icons or other items.  A menu will pop up with several choices such as "Arrange Icons By" and "Refresh".  At the very bottom of the list you will find "Properties".  Move your mouse down the menu until "Properties" is highlighted and select that option by left clicking on the word "Properties".

(You can move either of the windows you now have open by placing your mouse over the very top, likely blue, section of the window you wish to move, holding down the left mouse button, and moving the mouse until the window is positioned where you want it to be, then releasing the left mouse button.  Use this technique to move the windows so that you can view them both simultaniously.)

Step 3: The window that you opened should have tabs across the top labeled "Themes", "Desktop", etc.  The very last one is called "Settings".  Left click on the "Settings" tab.

Step 4: Near the bottom left of the "Display Properties" window, you should now see an area that says "Screen resolution".  Right beneath that is a sliding arrow with "Less" to the far left and "More" to the far right.  Beneath the sliding arrow are some numbers.  These show your current resolution.  If it is less than that recommended to view this website, simply slide the arrow over until you see the numbers 1024 x 768 displayed beneath the sliding arrow.  This is the minimum ideal resolution at which to view this website.

Step 5: Please do NOT be alarmed.  When you click the "Apply" button, located in the bottom right hand corner of the "Display Properties" window, your screen will go blank for a second, then it will display the resized resolution.  This is normal.  Left click on the "Apply" button now.

If a pop-up window appears asking you if you wish to keep this resolution, and if no other pop-up windows appear indicating that there might be a compatibility issue between this resolution and your monitor and/or video card, please left click on "Yes" in order to keep your new settings.  Do not worry if you do not see this pop-up window; simply go on to "Step 6".

(If you do not click "Yes", your monitor will return to your previous settings after a few seconds.  When it does so, your screen will again go blank for a second before returning to your original settings.  You will not have changed your resolution and you will not being seeing our website as it was ideally meant to be viewed.)

Step 6: Left click the "OK" button to the left of the "Apply" button on the bottom of the "Display Properties" window.  This will close the "Display Properties" window.  You are now ready to view our website as it was designed to be viewed.

You did it!
